How to quickly determine what version of Windows you are using

To determine the version of Microsoft Windows that you are running, follow these steps:

Press the [Windows] key on your keyboard, together with the [R] key.
The “Run” dialog window should appear on your screen.
Type “winver” and press [ENTER] or click OK.
The “About Windows” popup window should appear.

The version number is now displayed.
